Daniel Webster College using UFA’s ATTower® Radar simulation technology
Woburn, MA, June 30, 2005 – UFA, Incorporated, announced today that the company has completed initial delivery, installation, and training of UFA’s ATTower Radar Simulator for Daniel Webster College (DWC) of Nashua, NH. The DWC ATTower Radar Simulator includes four Controller positions with UFA’s integrated ATVoice® Voice Recognition and Pilot Response, four Assistant Controller positions and four Supervisor/Pilot positions. All positions are equipped with UFA’s ATRadio™ for simulated Air-to-Ground communications and Land Line telephony.
Beginning with the 2005 - 2006 academic year, DWC will utilize UFA’s ATTower Radar simulator technology to provide “real-world” training of future Air Traffic Controllers enrolled in their Aviation program. ATTower Radar provides high fidelity simulation and display of radar data, flight data and weather data and includes UFA’s ATVoice and ATRadio. ATVoice, UFA’s integrated Voice Recognition and Response product, recognizes a student controller’s spoken clearance to the simulated aircraft, automatically implements that clearance, and provides an appropriate pilot response. ATRadio provides simulated Air-To-Ground communications and Land Line telephony to the student Controller using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technologies.
DWC is a four-year, private, non-sectarian co-educational college with a primary focus on experiential learning through programs in aviation/air traffic management, aviation flight operations (professional pilot training), aviation management, business management, computer science, information systems, management and information technology, social science, and sport management. DWC is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges; a member of the New Hampshire College and University Council; accredited by the Council on Aviation Accreditation (CAA) and holds Federal Aviation Administration Air Agency Certification PSE 15/21 as an approved pilot school; flight courses are operated under Part 141 and Part 61 of the FAA regulations; affiliated with FAA College Training Initiative (CTI) for air traffic control.
