DFS begins training on new Simulator
WOBURN, MA, September 23, 2003 – UFA, Incorporated, announced today that the DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung Training Academy has begun operational training on the NewSim Simulator. UFA’s
ATCoach® products are core components of the NewSim Simulator, an advanced radar training system.
The NewSim simulator consists of 16 Training Positions, 16 Pseudo Pilots, 2 Adjacent Controller Positions, a centralized Supervisor Position and Simulation Engines configured to support up to 16 independent exercises. UFA’s ATCoach® products provide the ATSetup application at the Supervisor Position, ATPilot at the Pseudo Pilot positions and the ATCoach® Simulation Engine. The DFS developed the Controller Working Positions and Voice Communications Facilities that are integrated within the ATCoach® infrastructure. The UFA applications were developed in C and Java. The ATCoach® Simulation Engine integrates the EUROCONTROL GAME and BADA aircraft performance models.
