EUROCONTROL Institute of Air Navigation Services (IANS) in Luxembourg accepts AERODROME Simulator

WOBURN, MA, December 18, 2003 (Corrected on February 27, 2004) – UFA, Incorporated, announced today that the company has successfully completed the Site Acceptance Test for the EUROCONTROL Institute of Air Navigation Services (IANS) Aerodrome Simulator in Luxembourg.

The EUROCONTROL IANS Aerodrome simulator consists of two suites of UFA’s ATTower®/TOWSIM® tower simulator installed by 5S Computer GmbH of Kaufbeuren, Germany. 5S is an exclusive service partner of UFA, Incorporated. Each simulator utilizes three 50” plasma displays for an out-of-the window view. Standard off-the-shelf PC hardware is used to host the ATTower® software. ATTower® is a fully integrated, standalone simulator providing Apron, Tower, Approach and En Route capabilities.

Additional installations of ATTower include the FMG in Munich, Germany; the DLR in Braunschweig, Germany; the DFS in Langen, Germany; the DHMI in Ankara, Turkey; CAA Finland’s AVIA College; AAI CATC in llahabad, India; and ADP at Charles De Gaulle and Orly Airports in Paris, France.
