North Carolina Army National Guard using UFA’s ATCoach® ATNAVICS Precision Approach Radar simulation technology

Woburn, MA, May 20, 2005 – UFA, Incorporated, announced today that the company has completed Full Operating Capability (FOC) software installation and user training of UFA’s ATCoach ATNAVICS Precision Approach Radar Simulator for the North Carolina Army National Guard, A Company, 1st-58th Aviation (AVN) Air Traffic Services (ATS), Fort Bragg, NC.

This simulator adds the ATNAVICS AN/TPN-31, the Army’s newest Precision Approach Radar System, to the very successful AN/TPN-18 Radar Training System. The ATCoach Radar Simulator emulates the ATNAVICS AN/TPN-31 Radar Sets and Controller positions as well as the AN/TPN-18 Radar Set and Controller positions. The ATCoach ATNAVICS Precision Approach Radar (PAR) simulator includes an Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR) Approach Controller position, an ASR/PAR Final Controller position, each with integrated ATVoice®, UFA’s Voice Recognition and Pilot Response system, and an Instructor position. Both Controller positions are additionally equipped with simulated VHF and UHF radio communications.
