US Army using UFA’s ATCoach® Precision Approach Radar simulation technology
Woburn, MA, February 27, 2004 – UFA, Incorporated, announced today that the company has completed installation and user training of UFA’s ATCoach Precision Approach Radar Simulator for G Co, 58th Aviation Regiment, stationed at Wheeler Army Airfield, Schofield Barracks, HI.
The ATCoach Radar Simulator emulates the US Army’s AN/TPN-18 Radar Set and Controller positions. The ATCoach Precision Approach Radar (PAR) simulator includes an Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR) Approach Controller position, an ASR/PAR Final Controller position, each with integrated ATVoice®, UFA’s Voice Recognition and Pilot Response system, and an Instructor position. Both Controller positions are additionally equipped with simulated VHF and UHF radio communications.
