US Army using UFA’s ATCoach® Precision Approach Radar simulation technology

Woburn, MA – UFA, Incorporated, announced today the completion of installation and training at Fort Bragg, NC for an ATCoach ASR/PAR Simulator in support of the US Army’s Air Traffic Services Command (ATSCOM) at Fort Rucker, AL.

The ATCoach Radar Simulator emulates the US Army’s AN/TPN-18 Radar Set and Controller positions as well as the US Army’s AN/TPN-31 (ATNAVICS) Radar Set and Controller positions. The ATCoach Precision Approach Radar (PAR) simulator includes an Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR) Approach Controller position, an ASR/PAR Final Controller position, each with integrated ATVoice®, UFA’s Voice Recognition and Pilot Response system, and an Instructor position. Both Controller positions are additionally equipped with simulated VHF and UHF radio communications.
