US Army using UFA’s ATCoach® Precision Approach Radar simulation technology
Woburn, MA, March 30, 2005 – UFA, Incorporated, announced today that the company has completed installation and user training of UFA’s ATCoach Precision Approach Radar Simulator for Los Alamitos Army Airfield personnel stationed at Los Alamitos Joint Forces Training Center, Los Alamitos, California.
The ATCoach Radar Simulator emulates the US Army’s AN/TPN-18 Radar Set and Controller positions. The ATCoach Precision Approach Radar (PAR) simulator includes an Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR) Approach Controller position, an ASR/PAR Final Controller position, each with integrated ATVoice®, UFA’s Voice Recognition and Pilot Response system, and an Instructor position. Both Controller positions are additionally equipped with simulated VHF and UHF radio communications.
