US Army using UFA’s ATCoach® Precision Approach Radar simulation technology

Woburn, MA, September 24, 2005 – UFA, Incorporated, announced today the receipt of an order for six (6) additional ATCoach ASR/PAR Simulators from the US Army’s Air Traffic Services Command (ATSCOM) at Fort Rucker, AL. The Training Simulators will be deployed to CONUS and OCONUS sites.

The ATCoach Radar Simulator emulates the US Army’s AN/TPN-18 Radar Set and Controller positions as well as the US Army’s AN/TPN-31 (ATNAVICS) Radar Set and Controller positions. The ATCoach Precision Approach Radar (PAR) simulator includes an Airport Surveillance Radar (ASR) Approach Controller position, an ASR/PAR Final Controller position, each with integrated ATVoice®, UFA’s Voice Recognition and Pilot Response system, and an Instructor position. Both Controller positions are additionally equipped with simulated VHF and UHF radio communications.
