Common Controller Training Platform
UFA is tackling the critical air traffic controller staffing challenge by deploying advanced simulators that shorten the path to controller certification -- while increasing operational success rates.
UFA is the only provider of end-to-end air traffic control (ATC) simulation with speech recognition systems. UFA’s Common Controller Training Platform provides a comprehensive gate-to-gate training solution that integrates both traditional and tabletop Tower, TRACON, and En Route simulators with phraseology training into a unified environment for ANSPs as well as academic and military ATC programs.

Tomorrow’s Training, Today
This next-generation simulation platform is already in use worldwide. In the U.S., Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University became the first institution certified under the FAA's Enhanced Collegiate Training Initiative program in both Tower and En Route domains, using UFA's Common Controller Training Platform. The platform will also be used by the FAA in Atlanta to improve training and address gaps in legacy systems.

UFA's platform modernizes and enhances the type, quality, and timeliness of training, ultimately reducing attrition, saving money, and mitigating longterm risks. UFA's Common Controller Training Platform is designed to accelerate controller qualifiication, aligning with objectives to expand capacity and modernize training methods.
Integrated Toolkit for Competency-Based Training
UFA's Common Controller Training Platform includes high-fidelity STARS and ERAM emulation with advanced voice recognition and response (VRR), allowing for immediate setup without the need for additional integration. UFA's longstanding support for operational ATC systems provides exceptional realism in the most complex training environments. Adaptive tools support competency-based progression by tracking individual performance and offering targeted feedback for instructors and trainees.

UFA's advanced speech recognition platform automates pilot responses and supports applied simulation, eliminating the need for human pseudo-pilots. UFA's Common Controller Training Platform is design for flexibility, deployable on-premises or via secure cloud environments, making it suitable for institutions of all sizes.

The platform also features an analytics engine, which provides instructors with real-time exercise performance
and evaluation data, enhancing the quality of feedback and instruction.
