UFA Supports Interactive Learning at EAA Airventure Oshkosh 2022

Burlington, MA, October 4, 2022 – UFA, Inc. (UFA), a leading provider of Air Traffic Simulation and Voice Technologies, proudly supported EAA AirVenture Oshkosh 2022 by providing attendees with a unique hands-on learning experience. UFA, in partnership with the National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA), has supported the aviation-enthusiast event for 6 years. This year, ATC Specialist Haley Dennis volunteered and introduced guests to ATLIVE™.

The week-long event offers an immersive program of workshops and activities for attendees to deepen their knowledge of aviation, enjoy the many aerial exhibitions and static aircraft displays, and connect with other aviation enthusiasts and supporters. As part of its programming, EAA AirVenture Oshkosh hosts Kidventure, a special attraction where kids encounter hands-on, educational, and fun aviation- based demonstrations and presentations.

UFA’s ATLIVE allowed kids to experience a top-down view of the Oshkosh airport outside. This year’s presentation included a mini game for kids to navigate around the airport using the touchscreen to select aircraft, identify the type aircraft, and learn how Runway numbering is determined! Participants enjoyed what they called a “giant iPad” and the different views of Oshkosh.

“I’ve been very fortunate in life with the number and quality of experiences I have had and working at Kidventure is at the top of those experiences! I remember being in those kids' shoes, loving everything about aviation since the first time I saw an airplane take off. Seeing the love of aviation in those kids' eyes reminds me why I work so hard to get where I want to be in life. UFA’s participation in this event is a great way for the company to give back to the future generation of ‘Avgeeks’ who will possibly use our simulators in their own careers,” says Dennis.

ATLIVE’s tabletop orientation made it easy for kids to collaborate and learn together while zooming in and out of the OSH runways to locate the aircraft scattered around the airport. Kids also selected aircraft and learned the skill of aircraft identification with help from the Controllers who have mastered it in their own careers.

UFA is proud to continue supporting future generations of aviation professionals and enthusiasts. The team looks forward to volunteering for future AirVenture events.
